Rumors of a tablet from Apple

Asus, Apple's manufacturer and the company that supplies a bulk of components for apple computers, let slip a rumor of an order by apple, for tablet PC screens, and other components specifically designed for tablets. If you are unfamiliar with a tablet PC, they are PC's that can be written on using some sort pressure (e.g. a stylus) and allow the user to write like he or she would with a pen and paper, directly onto the computer screen. Many have speculated for a while as to why Apple has not pursued this venture in the past, as the company is known for its computer's applications in art and graphic design, and this seems like it would be an obvious niche for them to fill. Also, in a bizarre turn of events, reports are coming out from apple employees that new shipments of Macbooks are arriving at the store. A commonplace event by itself, but there is a twist. Packaged so that the actual box is not revealed, but instead encased in cardboard, these new laptops include a special note that clearly states that they "should be opened until January", and that they should not be inventoried as the usual Macbook's that arrive at the store. This all poses the question, could these be the new generation of the much vaunted laptop we have all been waiting for. There are two theories. They could either be the new generation Macbooks that will match apple's newly chosen theme of silver and black, receiving a new chipset with boosted processor speeds and a new graphics card, or they could be even more radical entirely. There is rumor that apple is planning on releasing a new "ultra-mobile" iteration of the Macbook, with a lighter weight and significantly improved battery life. These of course would have lower processor speeds and other reduced specs, but they would be really really light! Thats always a cool thing. Personally, I'm hoping for a new gen of Macbook altogether, with a new theme and bumped up speeds, but at this point its impossible to tell.
